CHARL ALHEIT
Director
Charl leads fundraising for AgriGas. Before joining the team, Charl was a lead deal maker in the Real Estate Investment Banking team for Rand Merchant Bank which focussed on structured funding solutions in Sub-Saharan Africa. Charl’s experience in equity, debt raising and tax structuring has played an integral role in AgriGas’ accelerated growth and success in the research and development of the company’s biogas project.

FRANCOIS GROENEWALD
Senior Project Engineer
Francois Groenewald is a professional engineer and project manager with almost 20 years’ of experience in the field. He has extensive experience in developing technical projects and prides himself on solving problems and getting things done. Francois joined AgriGas Africa in May 2021 as the AgriGas project lead. Francois is responsible for the agricultural side of the business that integrates agriculture with the biogas.

Senior Project Engineer
Francois Groenewald is a professional engineer and project manager with almost 20 years’ of experience in the field. He has extensive experience in developing technical projects and prides himself on solving problems and getting things done. Francois joined AgriGas Africa in May 2021 as the AgriGas project lead. Francois is responsible for the agricultural side of the business that integrates agriculture with the biogas.

Mechanical Engineer
Alice Mienie is a Mechanical engineer with experience in product development and project management. Before joining AgriGas Africa in April 2022, Alice worked as a design and finite analysis engineer in the mining industry. Alice represents both the agricultural and biogas functions of the business by managing stakeholders, developing the feedstock trials, and assisting with the logistics and operations required to complete the project.

Biogas Specialist
Duncan Gibbison heads up the biogas division for AgriGas Africa. He has 8 years’ of biogas experience, including the design, construction, and detailed operations of multiple biogas plants in South Africa, Europe and United Kingdom. Duncan brings the key parties and ingredients together to accurately execute the design, construction and operations of the plant.
